Today the baby fell asleep on me earlier than usual leaving me a little time to knit.  The older kids were playing a Magic Tree House game that seemed to involve much deliberation and random questioning about different periods in history and the baby did have the grace to fall asleep on me within arms reach of my Clarity Cardigan so what else was I to do.

Today I will finish the cowl (she said with conviction) then there are just the sleeves and pockets to finish before she’s all mine to wear.  I’m going back and forth on the pocket yarn right now so I’ll tackle the sleeves first and see what I can settle on.

As for reading I am currently enjoying House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz.  It is a new Sherlock Holmes novel written by a scholar of the original works and so far it really is eerie how similar it is to a Conan Doyle original.  That said I am barely through the first couple of chapters.  My reading time seems to have disappeared these last ten years and sadly no one seems to care but me.
